On this page I present the stonecutter's marks which I encountered while researching
mediaeval castle architecture outside of our borders. Currently among them are Czech
Republic, Romania, Austria, Germany and Italy.
On rare occasions a researcher has the possibility to get some information about
stonecutter's marks of certain object from competent personel available at the site.
Somewhere it is prohibited to photograph the interior (even when we explain that we're
interested only in stonecutter's marks) and we have to use paper and pencil to capture
an image of the mark.
